ImageFlashingAssistant

ImageFlashingAssistant:

Download the Software (latest Version is at present 2.1 as a multilanguage Version)
You will not need a Null Modem Serial Cable unless you want to see the Boot up messages but I strongly recommend the Usage of a Null Modem Cable.

You cannot use this software to get a DBOX into Debug Mode !!

You will either need a Cross Over Network Cable as IFA does not like being used via a router/hub/switch

(I have heard that it works in some cases but we go the safe way !!)

In some circumstances it is usefull to disable any extra Firewall or Antivirus.

Just click on Start, then Run and type msconfig and tick the Diagnostic Startup Button and restart the PC

How to start ImageFlashingAssistant:

1.DBOX must be in Debug Mode already !!!
2.Turn off DBOX
3.Start Application
4.Choose Drive where you have the Image you want to flash
5.Choose the right network Card where the DBOX is connected to
6.Choose if you have a nullmodem Cable and what Com Port
7.Click Start
8.On Windows XP SP2 you now need to click unblock on the Firewall Popup
9.PLEASE IGNORE ANY MINIMIZED WINDOWS AND ESPECIALLY "pinging failed" !!!!!
10.Power your Box up and the Software does the Rest
11.Display will say Flashing whilst Software is transfered and then Flashing Done after about 2 1/2 Minutes or about 10 minutes on a Sagem 1x Dbox.
