Boot Net Failed
boot net failed
if you get a message like this in your bootlog
debug: Transmitting BOOTP request via broadcast
debug: Given up BOOTP/TFTP boot
boot net failed
This is a clear sign that your network is not fast enough to react to the bootp-request of the Dbox.
2 Reasons for this:
| 1. | Is your network correct configured ? |
| 2. | Have you really got a network card in your PC ? |
A way around this is to reset your Box via the Standby Key and the Arrow up on the Front of the DBox
Then keep pressing the Arrow up until the Memorytest of the DBox has finished
Now type in the Com Window of DBox Boot Manager boot net and the Dbox should boot.
HINTS:
Deactivate QoS Packetplaner of the Network Card
Download and install the Mediasensing Patch on 2000/XP
Set your Network Speed fixed to 10MBit Half Duplex if you use a cross over cable
